If you view our website design company coolcreation.co.uk you see that our pages slide from right to left as you navigate through the website.

Content sliders are are great way to add some interactive elements to your website without losing content in flash based files.

You can create some really great effect and here is a list of some of our favourites;

DHTML Featured Content Slider 2.4

Offers a simple slider that fades between each area, this script allows you to also set autoscroll, works well in creating a small gallery too.

Featured Content Slider

This is one of our favourites and you could see it working really well as a news slider, the effect is really easy on the eye sliding each panel in above the last. Looks great!

Coda Slider

http://www.ndoherty.com/demos/coda-slider/1.1.1/#1

Originally the basis for our company website, Coda Slide will slide content in to the DIV from right to left with a seamless motion effect. You can also set links from within the page to slide the content across. After trying out this script and alterations we found the only downside was trying to use the script with a width of 100%, this caused a bug for us and simply would not work at 100% so we moved on to the next one…

jFlow 1.0

So here is the script we used to create the sliding effect of our company website, the slider can be set as a fluid width, perfect to slide the content across a whole page.

jFlow is super lightweight because it is only 1.9kb minified!

jQuery.ScrollTo

A slightly different type of scroller that will glide across to different areas of a grid that are all made up with HTML rather than just from left to right.

Also be sure to try out the Table of contents box links at the top for a great way to scroll the page.

jQuery.SerialScroll

3 great examples on how the jquery serial scroll can be used.

MooTools Interval Slider
